Counter flashing directs water away from areas on the roof and the chimney to go down the siding. It is designed to prevent moisture from entering behind the vertical flange of the headwall or sidewall flashing. It comes in 24 gauge metal and in the astounding Kynar color of Matte Black. Counter flashing provides a watertight termination at the leading edge of the roofing material.
