• Application:  Attached the pipe band with screws, nails or rivets to the building in the center where the downspout will pass.  Bend the ends of the pipe band around the downspout to secure it to the building. For a 10-foot downspout, two diamond bands are needed, one about one foot from the bottom and one about one foot from the top. For a 20-foot downspout, three diamond bands are needed, one about one foot from the bottom, one in the middle, and one about one foot from the top.
